DuCard is a bevy of activity in a beautiful space, with special events happening nearly every weekend.
The tin-roofed buildings sits in the shadow of Old Rag Mountain, and the spacious tasting area
features a marvelous floor of mixed hardwood reclaimed from local barns. Festive yellow and red umbrellas shade the back patio.
A new Barrel Room hosts wine & food pairing events (by reservation) and private parties.
DuCard was set up as a sustainable winery that operates on solar
power. Local artists display their works, and a kiddie corner keeps the little ones occupied.
On our visit, wines include a dry Viognier, a rich Bordeaux blend, and a popular Norton, plus a lovely Vidal Blanc dessert wine.
DuCard is wheelchair accessible "from car to tasting bar" - meaning thata guest with a wheelchair, traveling alone, couldarrive at the parking area and navigate into the tasting room without assistance. Bathrooms also ADA compliant.
