The owners of the renowned Hope & Glory Inn in Irvington took over the former White Fences Winery a few years ago, adding another worthy stop to your Northern Neck itinerary. You can't miss it; the giant two-story corkscrews marking the entrance are the tip-off.

The "Wine Stand" is a tasting room that seems about the size of a large closet, but connects to a screened porch several times its size.

Winemaker Mark Hollingsworth is noted for his oyster-friendly winemaking style, which features Vidal Blanc and Chardonel, along with Merlot and Chambourcin. In 2012, the vineyard created the popular Virginia Wine and Oyster Classic, and played a big part in the creation of the Virginia Oyster Trail, which was launched in 2015. Pets and kids welcome, private parties and weddings available, bus/RV parking available.
